Description

Professional Formulation & High-Build Performance
Engineered for rigorous industrial applications, Everest Trade HB Epoxy Factory Floor Paint serves as a high-performance solution for concrete protection. Unlike standard water-based or solvent-based alternatives that lose thickness upon drying, this 100% solids, solvent-free formula retains its full wet film thickness creates a coating up to five times thicker than conventional paints. Manufactured in England using premium resins, it delivers a dense, impervious barrier designed to significantly extend the lifespan of the substrate without the need for frequent maintenance.

Heavy-Duty Durability & Chemical Resistance
This industrial-grade coating provides superior mechanical strength, making it the definitive choice for areas subjected to intense activity, including warehouses, workshops, and factories utilising forklifts and pallet trucks. The cured surface offers outstanding abrasion and impact resistance, ensuring protection against scratches and tyre pluck from heavy vehicles. Furthermore, the chemically cross-linked structure creates a robust shield against industrial spillages—including petrol, oil, dilute acids, and alkalis—maintaining structural integrity even in harsh operating environments.

Application & Versatility
Designed for professional application on correctly prepared concrete, this two-pack system cures to a premium, high-gloss finish that is both hygienic and easy to maintain. It is specifically formulated to mitigate dust and provide a light-reflective surface in large-scale industrial units, commercial garages, and manufacturing plants. Whether renovating an existing facility or sealing a new concrete slab, this coating transforms porous floors into a resilient workspace capable of withstanding the daily rigours of heavy industry.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

Do I need to mechanically prepare my floor if it is power floated or polished concrete?
Yes, absolutely. You must grind power floated or polished floors using a floor grinder prior to application to ensure adhesion. These surfaces are too smooth and non-porous for the epoxy to bond effectively without this preparation.
Can I apply this paint directly onto a self-levelling floor compound?
No. We do not recommend this product for use on self-levelling floors as they tend to be non-porous, which prevents the epoxy from keying into the surface correctly. It is best suited for concrete.
Is this coating suitable for areas with heavy forklift traffic?
Yes. This industrial-grade epoxy is specifically formulated to withstand mechanical wear from forklifts, pallet trucks, and other work vehicles. It cures to a 100% solid finish that is up to 5x thicker than standard paints, providing excellent impact and abrasion resistance.
How many coats do I need to apply for a durable finish?
We always advise two coats. A single 5kg tin covers approximately 17–20+ square metres per coat. Two coats ensure you achieve the correct application thickness (400–500 microns) for maximum durability and the intended premium gloss finish.
My warehouse is currently unheated; what is the minimum temperature for application?
The minimum temperature is 7°C. This applies to both the ambient air temperature and the floor surface temperature itself. Applying this two-pack epoxy below 7°C can prevent the product from curing or hardening correctly. If you need a product that can cure at lower temps, search "epoxy cold cure" in our search bar.
