EverFlor - Dégraissant

EverFlor Degreaser is a clear, water-based cleaner concentrate for floor preparation. It lifts oil, grease and general soiling out of a hard floor before a coating is applied. It also works as a cleaner on floors that have picked up contamination in service.

Most floor coating failures start with preparation. A film applied over oil or grease bonds to the contamination, not to the substrate, and releases under traffic. Brushing the diluted degreaser into the surface breaks the deposits down so they can be scrubbed loose and rinsed off with clean water. What is left is a clean floor to coat onto.

Use it as the first stage of an EverFlor floor coating specification, ahead of any EverFlor primer or floor paint. It suits interior and exterior hard floors and is supplied in 5 litre containers.

Features

Good to know

Apply and store between 5°C and 30°C. Do not use in freezing conditions.

Do not apply to new or wet concrete — under 21 days old, or holding residual moisture at 6% or higher.

Heavily contaminated floors may need a second pass. Check the surface after rinsing and repeat where staining or a greasy feel remains.

Allow the floor to dry before coating. Moisture trapped in the substrate will affect the coating that follows.

Do not allow washings containing oil and grease to enter surface water drains. Collect them and dispose of them in line with local requirements.

DILUTION

The degreaser is supplied as a concentrate and is diluted with water before use. Mix 50:1 with water for general cleaning. Mix 20:1 with water for heavy cleaning. At 20:1 one litre of concentrate treats around 40m². Make up only as much as you can use across the section in hand.

SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION

Sweep the floor and remove loose debris. Apply the diluted solution and brush it in with a stiff broom so it works into the surface. Use a brush or a mechanical scrubber to loosen heavier oil and grease deposits. Work in manageable sections rather than flooding the whole floor at once.

RINSING AND DRYING

Rinse the treated area with clean water. Check the surface once rinsed and repeat the process where staining or a greasy feel remains. Allow the floor to dry before coating — moisture left in the substrate will affect the primer or paint that follows.

CONDITIONS AND DISPOSAL
