Textured Traction Film

The film cures with a textured gloss surface rather than a smooth one, so the coating keeps traction underfoot. Lay it by brush or roller in one coat at 220 microns. No thinning is used, so the texture and the film build arrive together in a single pass.

Abrasion Resistant Finish

A tough, semi-gloss satin finish engineered to withstand heavy foot traffic and abrasion. Enriched with UV-stable pigments, it maintains rich color depth and resists fading, making it equally effective for internal floors and external patios.

Low Speed Dispersion

The powder disperses into the coating or sealer under low speed mixing, so no specialist shear equipment is needed. Add it to the liquid and mix before application, at 400g per 20 litres. Mix the material thoroughly, then apply the coating as normal.

High Molecular Polypropylene

The grip particle is a high molecular weight polypropylene, which holds up inside the cured film rather than breaking down under traffic. Because the powder is clear, it can go into clear sealers and coatings without altering the colour of the finish.

Performance Profile

Anti-slip additive for floor coatings and sealers. A fine, clear polypropylene powder dosed at 400g per 20 litres of coating or sealer. It disperses under low speed mixing, holds in the dried film, and leaves a textured, slip-resistant finish indoors or outdoors.

Essential Information

Product Details

Description

Easy-Grip is a dry anti-slip additive for floor coatings and sealers. It is a fine-grade powder based on high molecular weight polypropylene. You mix it into the coating before application, then apply the coating as normal. The result is a fine-textured surface that gives grip underfoot rather than a smooth, slick film.

The polypropylene is tough, so the particles stay bound in the dried film and the floor keeps its durability. The powder is clear. Add it to a coloured coating and the colour is unaffected; add it to a clear sealer and you get a clear anti-slip finish. It disperses easily and needs only low speed mixing, so there is no specialist equipment and no long stirring before you start.

Use it with EverFlor clear sealers and floor coatings, or with other coloured and clear coatings and sealers. Dose at 400g per 20 litres of coating. It is suitable for interior and exterior work.

Recommended areas of use

  • Floor coatings that need grip underfoot
  • Clear sealers where an anti-slip finish is wanted without altering the look
  • Coloured coatings where the existing colour must be kept
  • Interior floor areas
  • Exterior floor areas

Features

  • Fine finish grade, so the floor gains texture rather than a coarse, aggressive surface
  • High molecular weight polypropylene gives good film durability
  • Clear powder, so coloured coatings keep their colour and clear sealers stay clear
  • Easy to disperse with low speed mixing, so no specialist equipment is needed
  • Mixed into the coating before application, so the normal application method is unchanged
  • Dosed simply at 400g per 20 litres of coating
  • Suitable for interior and exterior use
  • Available in 100g and 400g packs for part and full units

Good to know

Add the powder to the coating, not to the floor. Stir it in thoroughly before you start and keep the coating stirred as you work, so the additive stays evenly distributed through the pot. Prepare and prime the substrate as the coating you are using requires; the additive changes the texture of the finish, not the preparation. Shelf life is 24 months, so keep the pack sealed and dry between jobs.

Application

SURFACE PREPARATION

Prepare the floor to the requirements of the coating or sealer you are using. Easy-Grip alters the texture of the finished film; it does not reduce the preparation or priming the coating needs. Never scatter the powder onto the wet floor — it is mixed into the coating before application.

MIXING

Dose at 400g of additive per 20 litres of coating or sealer, and scale the dose to the unit you are mixing. Add the powder to the coating and mix at low speed. The powder disperses easily, so no high speed or specialist mixing equipment is needed. Mix the full unit until the additive is evenly distributed, then decant.

APPLICATION

Apply the coating by its normal method and at its normal spreading rate. Stir the pot at regular intervals during application so the additive stays in suspension and the grip is even across the floor. Work in manageable bays and keep a wet edge. Add the additive to a clear sealer where you want an anti-slip finish without changing the appearance of the floor, or to a coloured coating where the colour must be kept.

STORAGE

Reseal the pack immediately after use and store it dry. Shelf life is 24 months in sealed packaging.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

How much additive do I use?
Dose at 400g of Easy-Grip per 20 litres of coating or sealer, and scale the dose to the size of the unit you are mixing. The 400g pack treats a 20 litre unit; the 100g pack suits smaller or part units.
Will it change the colour of my coating?
No. The powder is clear. Mixed into a coloured coating it leaves the colour as it is, and mixed into a clear sealer it gives a clear anti-slip finish. What changes is the texture of the surface, not its appearance in colour terms.
Do I scatter it onto the wet floor?
No. Easy-Grip is mixed into the coating or sealer before application, so the grip is held within the film. Add the powder to the pot, mix at low speed until evenly dispersed, then apply the coating as normal.
Do I need a special mixer?
No. The powder is easy to disperse and incorporates with low speed mixing, so standard mixing equipment is enough. Mix the full unit until the additive is evenly distributed, and stir the pot at intervals during application so it stays in suspension.
Can I use it outdoors?
Yes. Easy-Grip is suitable for interior and exterior use. The polypropylene is tough and high molecular weight, which gives good film durability once the coating has dried. Follow the interior or exterior suitability of the coating or sealer you are adding it to.
